USBR 1 connects Pennsylvania and Washington, DC. U.S. Bicycle Route (USBR) 1 is NOT signed.
From Big Gunpowder Falls the route heads south on the Torrey C. Brown Trail before continuing southwest, passing Liberty and Tridelphia Reservoirs. Approaching DC, the route travels through Rock Creek Regional Park on a path then to Bethesda on local streets. On the outskirts of DC, the route is on the Capital Crescent Trail.
